Decorating With Christmas Tartans & Plaids For The Holidays

You don't have to have a tartan or plaid side chair that fits right in with your Christmas decor - here are a few ways to add a festive touch of tartain plaid to your home at Christmastime:

  • Plaid table linens

  • Plaid throw pillows

  • Spools of plaid ribbon: Use as bows on packages, add to wreaths and Christmas trees; use entire rolls of plaid ribbon as Cristmas tree garlands

  • Plaid throw blankets for couches or chairs

  • Sew a plaid sheet into a temporary curtain

Here's more inspiration!

Decorating With Christmas Bells

Everyone has their own style for how they like to decorate for the holidays, and I'm sure you have your favorite decorations as well. Some may be family heirlooms; ornaments passed down through the years from beloved family members, or pieces that hold special memories for one reason or another.

Or maybe you're just partial to wreaths, garlands, or a particular holiday color combination that you love to use in your home. I love Christmas bells. I love the silver, brass, and gold, the shiny metal (and the vintage patinaed finishes too).  I love that they make a sound, what they symbolize, and how well they go with holiday greenery. Here is some holiday bell decorating inspiration for you!
