A garland of colorful hearts for Valentine's Day is super easy and fun to make!
You will need:
- Colored construction paper, cardstock, or thick felt
- Thread or yarn (you can use fishing line for a more invisible look)
- Needle
- Scissors
- Pencil
- White glue or E6000 adhesive
Directions:
Use a pencil to draw heart shapes onto your paper, and then use your scissors to cut out the hearts. For hearts that are all the same size, use one as a stencil to trace the rest.
To string hearts horizontally, it is easiest to use a needle and thread to stitch them together (see the second photo below).
To string hearts vertically, it is easiest to layer two hearts together in a sandwich fashion, securing a long length of thread, string, or fishing line in between the hearts and securing them with glue.
Add a fold in the center of each heart for a more dimensional look.
More Valentine's goodies coming soon!
