Boho Style Halloween Decor & Costumes

Looking to change things up a bit for Halloween this year? Tired of the same old black and orange Halloween decor and traditional themes? Then why not go for a Boho style Halloween? 

If you love the breezy and mystical look of Boho style with it's folk and tribal patterns and natural elements, then why not add these elements to your Halloween holiday decor for an entirely new look? 

Impossible! you say? The looks are too different to combine! you say? Well it can be done. The trick is to find common elements from both styles - traditional Halloween and contemporary Boho Chic - even if those elements are not so common - and then run with it. 

I've collected some great looks and inspiration for you below to jumpstart your Boho Halloween, and I've put them into three sections: Boho Halloween Pumpkins & Gourds, Boho Halloween Home Decor and Decorations, and Boho Halloween Costumes...but before you check those out, here are just a few quick tips and ideas for how to decorate your space and what general elements to use to bring Boho Halloween style to your home. 

Decorate your space with:

• Handmade Garlands (think feathers, herbs)
• Use of Light (think reflection, candles & glass)
• Pumpkins & Gourds
• Leaves & Branches
• Mystical themed items

Try using these elements & materials:

• Herbs
• Feathers
• Jars or other glassware
• Candles
• Crystals
• Leaves
• Acorns, Pinecones, and other materials found in nature

Decorate your pumpkins with:

• Paint & decoupage instead of carving
• Try acrylic paint in white, pink, and pastel shades
• Natural elements such as decoupaged leaves
• To create glimmer, use a touch of sequins, glitter, faux gemstones, or metallic paint

Pumpkins & Gourds

You don't have to be an artist to paint up some pretty floral pumpkins

The Bohemian Autumn Home: Rich Color & Warm Light

After the last whisper of summer disappears, Autumn arrives like a sigh...

Here are some of my favorite glimpses of autumn, expressed in crafts and home decor. The main theme that I feel is mainly composed of three things: rich, saturated colors combined with natural materials and a warm glow of light...but another important main element that's not possible to share via this simple blog post is the scents of fall. You'll have to use your imagination for that...
