There are four easy ways to frame old lace and doilies and turn them into unique home decor:
#1 Attach lace to the front of the frame's glass. To do this, use drops of adhesive in the corner areas of the glass - using a glue that dries clear and dissolves in water such as Elmer's Glue is a good idea :

#2 Remove the glass from the frame and attach the lace to the reverse side of the frame using adhesive, thumbtacks, or a staple gun:

#3 Remove the glass from the frame and mount the lace atop the removable cardboard picture-back - mount atop a colored piece of paper for a polished look:

#4 Take a mixed-media approach. Layer colored or painted paper, ink, wire, or other unique elements with your lace:
