Creative Valentine's Day Ideas


Celebrate love this February 14th with more than the average drugstore card!
Why not pitch a Valentine's Day love tent or paint some paper roses red?

  10. Where did you find the redwork pattern of the girl on the quilt? I have tried to free hand her but she is not quite right. I am making one for my granddaughter for her graduation and using tshirts for the hearts. thank you

  11. Hi! The connection to Linda Albrecht is broken or no longer exists. I have be chasing that Valentine Heart door hanging all over the internet to find a little guidence on what materials were used etc.!? I just love it and VDAY is coming soon! Can you help please? THANK YOU! Kathy

    1. Hi Kathy, It looks to me like it's constructed from different patterned scrapbook paper or maybe even more of a heavyweight patterned cardstock. I know you can buy those at craft stores. The center heart looks to be made from a recipe. It looks like they cut the hearts out with decorative edged sheers, then glued and glittered the edges. The very back or bottom layer looks to be made from a tissue paper sewing pattern, folded to create the ruffled effect and maybe glued to the bottom paper heart. It looks like the 5 top layers of cardstock hearts were all sewn together right down the center with a sewing machine. That part was probably then affixed to the bottom heart. Good luck!
