A Shabby Chic Painted Pumpkin Porch for Autumn

 






Don't think twice about saying Boo to a traditional fall-colored autumn front porch display! 

If pastels and shabby chic style is your thing, hang your flowered flag high with pink and pretty painted and decoupaged pumpkins for autumn and celebrate your own Pastelloween!

  • Paint it with: Acrylic craft paints

  • Consider adding: Decoupage florals

  • Apply it with: Mod Podge

  • For fancy details: Gold metal leaf 

  • Don't forget: Use sealant if displaying outdoors

Beautiful Painted & Decoupaged Pumpkins


Who doesn't love decorating with pumpkins in autumn and of course for Halloween? 
How about trying something new this year? Instead of carving a pumpkin, 
try painting or decoupaging it instead. 

The basic decoupage supplies that you will need are: decoupage 
medium (Mod Podge is commonly the chosen decoupage medium of the masses),
a wide brush or sponge brush to apply the decoupage medium, and of course you 
will need whatever material you plan on applying to your pumpkin. Some ideas
include: paper party or guest napkins, lightweight material scraps, paper images, 
sheet music, and tissue paper. 

For painted pumpkins, you can use a variety of different types of paint, from basic
household spray paint (please follow the manufacturer's instructions for use and 
work in a well-ventilated area, such as outside), to acrylic craft paint. Check out a

below and maybe you'll be inspired to create a unique pumpkin too!
