While going through some items in my Etsy shop I realized that a few of the photos weren't that great, so I decided to photograph them again, and I think the pictures turned out so pretty that I had to share them.
These are broken china mosaics that I created a while back - I first started making these in 1989 (!) when I traced out my first heart onto plywood and convinced my father to cut them out for me with his saw in his workshop. I would then sand them down, drill holes in them for the ribbon, then create a mosaic on each heart, grout them, paint the reverse sides, and then add the ribbons to hang them with. It is a time-consuming process but the end result is so pretty!
