Broken China Mosaic Turtle Stepping Stone - Slow & Steady Wins The Race

If you were one of the folks who visited Spring On Fourth, the festival and chili cookoff
last Saturday afternoon in Bethlehem, PA, you may have seen me by the bandshell, working
on this turtle stepping stone. I haven't made any mosaics in a while and thought this turtle
would be the perfect thing to work on during the festival.

Here she is, and the mosaic portion is almost completed. Once the adhesive dries I will
grout her with a cinnamon colored grout. I'll be sure to post photos once she is done. You
can't rush a mosaic project, each piece should be fit pretty close to the next, and since I
use china scraps to make these instead of cut geometric shapes (aside from the border) they
are time consuming to work on!

What do you think?

I hope you have a great week
Love, Laura
