Dainty tea cups and saucers can be had for a song since they aren't in fashion and too fancy to use every day. Do I need another cup or dish? If you saw my house, you would say, NO! but I find it very difficult to leave a beautiful piece behind, just because of its history and former life. Some of these pieces are a snapshot in time, from a period that will never be seen again. I usually buy something and repurpose it. Having an imagination certainly justifies many purchases, or at least that's my rationalization.
